Building a major national retail brand from the ground up targeted at tradies and serious DIYers. The challenge was to build awareness and brand affinity, positioning TKD as the ultimate destination for everything you need to get the job done.

Using the idea of the faithful worksite dog as a model for the brand’s partnership with it’s customers, we developed a suite of ownable assets built around relatable worksite characters. With a bit of good natured banter, Garry and Dave become a memorable vehicle for brand messaging.
Full brand identity and campaign strategy delivery
Deep consultation, and research fuelled a comprehensive brand strategy and brand identity. Including logo and ID, brand launch campaign, social, store fitout and signage and seasonal campaigns.
Constructing a unique brand in a cluttered market
Drawing inspiration from the visual language of the construction site, using hi-vis ‘safety’ yellow contrasted with deep navy to elevate the brand, with concrete and wood textures speaking to the category.
